Options
These options will control how the program behaves outside of searches.
Automatically Check For Updates:
If checked Burn Rubber will automatically check to see if there is a new version available for download.
Startup With Windows:
If this is checked, Burn Rubber will automatically start when you load windows.
Hide To Tray On Startup:
Checking this will cause Burn Rubber to automatically minimize to the task tray down by the clock until you need it. You can then either double click the burn rubber icon by the clock, or press the Windows Key + S to search.
Disable Windows-S Key Access:
If this is checked pressing the windows key + the S key will not bring up the burn rubber software. This should not be checked unless you have a specific reason to do so.
How To Handle Dragging & Dropping Of Results:
You can copy or move a file from the results window to any Windows folder by dragging and dropping it. Here you select the action that will be performed.
Maintain Indexes For These Drives:
Burn Rubber works so fast by maintaining a proprietary index of all the files on your hard drive. Using this list of drives, you can select which drives you want Burn Rubber to keep an index for. It is recommended that you maintain indexes on all your most commonly searched drives.
